You will spend the majority of your time working with the underwriting team and assisting them in their endeavours to build and maintain a profitable book of business. You will assist with underwriting decisions, supporting more qualified colleagues, contributing to policy wordings and managing customer interactions.Job Duties:

Assisting with the review of allocated cases and delivering underwriting decisions, following agreed processes at the designated authority level and with the necessary senior direction and support, in order to secure profitable business within the agreed risk appetite.
Identifying non-standard or complex risks and escalating to more qualified colleagues to ensure they are handled appropriately.
Supporting more qualified colleagues in the handling of non-standard cases in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided.
Contributing to the production of new policy wordings or reviews of existing policy wordings to ensure policy is current and accurate.
Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
Help to drive pipelines of new business and maintain high retention.
Accurate entry of all business onto Genius.
Maintains correspondence and data files, often confidential in nature.
Conducts research and compiles reports.
Assists in claims activities.
Prepare analytical data using spreadsheets.
Takes on additional responsibilities as required.

QualificationsRequirements:

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in General Insurance Industry.
Keen learner and a self-starter.
Strong communication, negotiation & analytical skills.
Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity and trust.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
Able to organize and handle multiple priorities.
Team player, able to work collaboratively.
