The Business Development Manager will drive growth programs that make AWS the destination platform for customers, increasing adoption, platform royalty, and workload consumption at scale. You will be responsible for defining strategy and go-to-market approach, building and leading, and driving organizational influence. You are expected to coordinate cross-functional efforts, solve issues and inefficiencies through execution, and significant influence across the organization.Key job responsibilities
With excellent business development capabilities, the BDM engages with C-level executives and decision-makers from participating organizations, including companies and government agencies, to build long-term, win-win collaborations with governments and enterprises by conveying compelling value propositions of AWS. These collaborations will help accelerate the participating organizations' goals in digital transformation, talent development, open innovation, and other strategic elements identified to serve their needs.The Business Development Manager is expected to excel in strategic management, communication, and leadership by:
- Setting goals in an area where strategy is yet to be defined, aligning cross-functional teams, and creating scalable, long-term mechanisms for execution;
- Communicating and driving strategic initiatives, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities, and influencing and negotiating effectively;
- Actively removing bottlenecks and creating best practices;
- Regularly interacting with cross-functional leaders to align teams' goals with the company vision and goals;
- Have the ability to resolve business-critical issues and possess strong people and interpersonal skills in a cross-team environment. The Business Development Manager would know when to ask for help and recognize when others need help, keep others informed of information that contributes to the performance of the team.A day in the life

The Strategic Programs team is a unique and vital part of the HK and Taiwan Business Development organization. The team was created to drive short-term business results and maintain high growth momentum with mid to long-term strategies.
The team has three main responsibilities:
- Enterprise programs to assist enterprises in their transformation with cloud technologies;
- Education programs to develop future cloud talents;
- Key Strategic Initiatives to synergize cross-team efforts and leverage 3rd party resources to increase awareness, branding, and demand generation for AWS. This role has a high level of complexity and ambiguity due to the wide range of customers targeted, cross-team and cross-region nature, and strategy
dynamics.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Causeway Bay, HKGPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
