BOC Life is seeking an experienced Senior Manager as the Section Head of the Brand Marketing (ESG and Sustainability) Function with professional capabilities encompass the company’s Brand Marketing (BM), Corporate Communications (CC) as well as ESG and Sustainability (ESGS) functions, to lead, implement and drive results of the corporate flagship BM-CC-ESGS projects and initiatives, focusing on ESG and Sustainability, to achieve the functional missions and targets through seamless collaboration and partnership with internal and external stakeholders, to uplift the company’s brand equity, performance and leadership position in the marketplace and across the BM-CC-ESGS arenas through well planned integrated brand marketing and communications strategies and efforts.
The Role and Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Sustainability Development
- Responsible for sustainability policy and framework formulation and implementation of company-wide ESG KPI and actionable items aligning global ESG trends and practices to raise the company’s ESG portfolio, performance and presence in the marketplace.
- Organize sustainability steering committee meetings, update, monitor and report progress
- Solicit and forge partnership to launch high profile high value projects to build BOCL’s ESG portfolio and impact
- Responsible for industry Climate Charter related work in consultation with ESG experts and agencies for corporate sustainability scope setting and execution, performance evaluation, auditing, benchmarking and enhancement
- Build BOCL’s brand awareness and leadership through organize, sponsor and participate in sustainability themed forums, seminars and roundtables
- Planning and implementation of internal sustainability initiatives to cultivate ESG-centric awareness, culture and encourage colleagues making a change to eco-friendly lifestyle
- Work closely with internal (business units and departments) and external stakeholders to obtain certification and create sustainability ecosystem and database
- Formulate, implement and enhance the company’s social engagement and philanthropic policies, strategies, programmes that align business priorities focusing on ESG, eco-technology, digital, and STEAM education
- Promote internal and external advocacy to uplift corporate performance and brand visibility through integrated channels
- Formulate brand communications strategies and implement brand marketing measures to promote brand image and visibility. Develop and manage omni brand marketing platforms to promote brand voice and value
- Identify new technologies or capabilities to keep the company at the frontier of ESGS communications and trends. Develop internal best practices for ESGS communications benchmarking with industry performance and standards. Track, report, and analyse key ESGS communications metrics.
- Team supervision, budget, agency and project planning and management
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Social Science, Environmental Management, Communications or related disciplines
- At Minimum of 15 years’ experience encompassing the BM-CC-ESGS functionals, focusing on sustainability development, good at leading high profile community projects to create social and business impact in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders and partners with track record of success.
- Solid knowledge of environmental, social and sustainability practice, policies and framework. Experienced in working with ESG and community partners, auditing agencies and expert organizations and lead cross-department high profile projects to create business impact and milestones
- Strong analytical, presentation, communication and project management skills
- An effective brand communications specialist with strong business acumen
- Passionate and strongly committed to social impact and sustainability development to make a difference
- Able to manage team, agency and multiple projects with minimal supervision with positive can-do spirit to drive change and drive greater results
- A creative and solution provider, able to think out of the box and go extra mileage
- Experienced in formulation and execution of brand communications strategies and tactics, with hand-on and detailed orientation approach, demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement and CC-BM-ESGS communications are mandatory.
- Excellent communication, language and presentation skills with high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- A solution provider with strategic mindset, positive can-do attitude and acute business sense to achieve business goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Resourceful, creative and agile to achieve greater outcome.
