From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Portfolio Manager.Principal ResponsibilitiesWe are currently seeking high calibre fresh graduates or candidates with minimal working experience to join Business Banking under our Business Banking Associate Program as Assistant Portfolio Manager (APM).Upon completion of this 18-month Associate Program, our APM will be developed and progressed into Assistant Vice President specialized in customer acquisition with sales and business development element.Throughout this structured program, together with their batchmates, our APM will go through different classroom and on-the-job training/attachment for developing product, business, operational knowledge as well as polishing various soft skills on Know-Your-Customer, communication, presentation and other future skills, together with engagement events for building network.
  • Identify business opportunities and promote other commercial banking products to maximize business growth
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service
  • Develop relationships with business customers through outreach activities
  • Manage new customer acquisition in strict compliance with all internal and external KYC (know your customer) regulations and policies
  • Support the successful implementation of Business Banking strategies
  • Liaise with other teams to deliver product and service solutions
  • Make business referrals to appropriate parties in HSBC
Requirements
  • Fresh university graduates or with less than one year of work experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a timely manner
  • High level of customer centric mind set with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services
  • Excellent team player who is self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Fluency in both English and Cantonese, with additional proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
  • Relevant insurance and investment licenses are mandatory requirement to be obtained within 6 months post onboarding
  • Candidate will be assigned to one of the HSBC Business Centre subject to business needs
