Assistant Manager, IT (public, 1-year contract)

• System design and testing
• 5+ years of exp in app development in Java
• 5-day work, 1-year contract
• Location: Wanchai
• Immediate availability is preferred

• Responsible for application system design, delivery of new system implementations and enhancements of existing systems
• Conduct user requirement collection, system design, application programming and testing
• Manage program source control, release management and production deployment
• Manage API platform and provide support on data migration, data conversion and system integration activities
• Provide day-to-day user support for production systems
• Actively communicate progress to managers and key stakeholders
• Assist in control of quality, programming resources and project timeline

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
• Over 5 years hands-on experience in application development in Java using Spring and Hibernate framework
• Hands-on experience in API development, mobile apps development, data integration and data migration
• Advantages with experience in any of the followings: Supporting PeopleSoft applications / Programming in PeopleCode / Reporting solutions like Microsoft SSRS, Oracle BI Publisher / Sitecore content management system / Microsoft Dynamics CRM / ETL tools, e.g. Pentaho, etc.
• Experience in supporting parallel projects in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
• Good problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure
• Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
