The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is one of the major schools of public health in the Asia-Pacific region, committed to excellence in education and research in public health and primary care. The School is establishing a Primary Care Clinical Trial Unit and is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Research Associate (carrying the job title of 'Senior Clinical Trial Manager') to lead the setup and operations of this unit.Applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Health, Clinical Research, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related disciplines plus four years’ relevant post-qualification work experience; (ii) at least eight years’ experience in managing and conducting clinical research, preferably in primary care or public health settings; (iii) strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant regulatory frameworks; (iv) demonstrated research experience, leadership and management skills; (v) excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills; (vi) fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese. Experience in managing multi-center or large-scale clinical trials is an advantage.The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting the Unit Director in establishing the primary care clinical trial unit; (b) overseeing the daily operations of clinical trials conducted by the unit; (c) ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory and ethical guidelines; (d) developing and implementing SOPs, quality assurance processes, and trial documentation systems; (e) supervising research staff and providing necessary support; (f) coordinating with investigators, collaborators, and sponsors; (g) managing trial budgets, timelines, and resources; and (h) preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance, funding availability and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site.
