Categories: Professoriate StaffApplications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 525844), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second fixed-term contract, subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree preferably in Developmental Biology, Medical/Biological/Biomedical Science, or a related discipline. They should demonstrate evidence of scholarship in reproductive medicine and a strong track record of high-quality publications and competitive grants. They should also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and supervision of research postgraduate students.The appointee is expected to work with a team of research scientists and clinicians in reproductive medicine; gynecological cancer/maternal and fetal medicine; publish in top-tier journals; apply for external competitive grants; supervise research staff and research postgraduate students; participate in planning and delivery of undergraduate/postgraduate teaching; and provide administrative support at Departmental, Faculty and University levels.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
