Our client is a leading High Frequency Trading Firm. We are seeking a seasoned Trading Linux Engineer to join the firm's infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll design, optimize, and maintain ultrafast Linux environments that power mission-critical trading applications. You’ll collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and network engineers to ensure the systems deliver microsecond-level responsiveness and rock-solid reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, deploy, and manage low-latency Linux servers and network stacks across multiple global data centersTune Linux kernels, TCP/IP parameters, and NIC firmware to minimize jitter and latencyAutomate system provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStackDevelop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboards (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB)Troubleshoot production incidents, perform post-mortems, and implement root-cause mitigationsCollaborate with FPGA, network, and application teams to integrate kernel-bypass technologies (DPDK, Solarflare Onload)Write tooling and scripts in Bash, Python, or C/C++ to support infrastructure tasksQualifications and SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5–7 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems engineering—ideally within a trading or ultra-low-latency environmentDeep expertise in Linux kernel tuning, performance profiling (perf, ftrace), and network optimizationsProficiency in scripting and development with Bash, Python, and C/C++Familiarity with containerization (Docker), lightweight virtualization (KVM), and orchestration (Kubernetes)Experience with high-performance networking: RDMA, InfiniBand, Solarflare/Exablaze NICsStrong troubleshooting skills under production pressureExcellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilitiesNice-to-HaveExposure to FPGA-based acceleration or kernel-bypass stacks (DPDK, eXpress Data Path)Knowledge of market data feeds, order entry protocols (FIX, OUCH, ITCH)Experience with time-series databases (kdb+, InfluxDB) and real-time analyticsUnderstanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principlesIf this outstanding opportunity sounds like your next career move, please submit your resume in Word format via the Quick Apply Button.All applications applied through our system will be delivered directly to the advertiser and privacy of personal data of the applicant will be ensured with security.
