Posting Date: 2025-09-02The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd.Engineer III (Engineering Systems) (Ref: IT-ES-EIII-R)Responsibilities:Reporting to the Chief Manager (Engineering Systems), the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:
  • To support the development and enhancement of specialised engineering applications for power control system
  • To handle the technical matters related to various aspects of engineering systems, such as remote monitoring and control, real-time automation, advanced applications, data model management, system resiliency, etc.
  • To assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including specifications, user manuals and maintenance procedures for mission-critical systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in the development and support of application software and/or other relevant areas in the power industry
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, SQL, Java, shell script and XML
  • Knowledge of power system control and analysis an advantage
  • Experience in real-time monitoring and control systems an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
