It is how we work, consistently, be it towards the company, our colleagues or our customers.About the DepartmentThe Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the effectiveness of 1.5 Line of defense in Technology & Operations with core functions include:
  • Provide risk and control advisory to Technology & Operations to ensure that Bank policies and control initiatives are fully adopted and implemented
  • Conduct thematic review and gap analysis on local regulatory requirements and internal Bank policies updates when required
  • Coordinate the implementation of Regular Control Monitoring Plan for Wholesales Banking product operations (i.e. Loans, Cash, Trade, Global Markets)
  • Monitor and Review on all Technology & Operations related Audit observations, Management Risk Awareness and Operational Risk Incident Reporting
  • Coordinate across different functions within Technology & Operations in regulatory related self-assessment and Operational Risk Program (e.g. Key Risk and Control Self-assessment, Annual review on Key Risk Indicator)
  • Assist Team Lead in the development of data analytics for risk and controls improvement
  • Prepare regular risk management reports to Headquarter and Local Risk Committee
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related finance discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Banking/ Financial Institutions, preferably with sound knowledge of Wholesales Banking products and process, operational risk management and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese; being a power-user in MS-Excel and PowerPoint presentation
  • Good data analytical skills with the ability to use Power BI, Python or any other data analytics or coding tools will be an advantage
  • Meticulous and highly attentive to details
  • A highly motivated self-starter with strong problem solving, analytical skills and enjoy working in a dynamic team
  • ECF qualification is an advantage
