Research Assistant I/II ((holding the functional title of Data Analyst Assistant) in The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 525849)We now invite applications for the captioned post to assist in several research projects for community mental wellbeing.Requirements
  • A good Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, or related disciplines
  • Relevant experience in (i) dashboard development; (ii) ML/AI model integration, and customisation; (iii) Cloud infrastructure development/migration/integration;
  • Knowledge of programming in data analytics (i.e., R, Python, SAS) and DBMS such as MSSQL
  • Agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps
  • A keen interest in the latest generative AI developments and a passion for innovation
  • Good attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in teams, and competence in time management.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with researches related to statistical and data analytics, modelling
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the data collection platform
  • Assist with dashboard development and database management
  • Assist in preparation of presentations and reports
  • Participate in all stages of the system development life cycle, including requirements analysis, system development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support for IT-related projects;
  • perform other research-related duties as assigned.
