Applicants should possess the following qualifications:Education: A doctoral degree by research (Ph.D. or equivalent) in public health, epidemiology or related disciplines, preferably with a focus on infection prevention in vulnerable healthcare settings.Skills and experience: Competency in managing large-scale study cohorts, especially in vulnerable healthcare settings. Expertise in analysing large and complex datasets and integrating artificial intelligence in public health research is essential, as evidenced by publication records in high-impact peer-reviewed journals. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate their research interest in common infections in vulnerable healthcare settings, such as antimicrobial resistance, with a strong academic track record. Excellence in written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by a track record in disseminating research findings to the public.Commitment: A strong dedication to research excellence and mentorship, and a strong sense of responsibility and team spiritThe appointee is expected to (i) take up a leading role to oversee and coordinate ongoing independent and collaborative research projects; (ii) initiate independent and collaborative research projects; (iii) generate peer-reviewed publications; (iv) apply for competitive research grants; (v) supervise junior staff and students; (vi) undertake teaching duties; and (vii) handle operational and administrative duties.Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance, funding availability and mutual agreement.
