1. Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor Positions (2 Posts) in GeoAI, Remote Sensing, Land-Atmosphere/Ocean or Human-Environment InteractionsDuties and Responsibilities: Successful candidates will lead research and educational initiatives in their respective fields, mentor junior faculty, and contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and departmental service.Requirements: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field. Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of high-impact research, peer-reviewed publications, and success in securing research funding. Experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, and university-level teaching is required.2. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in GeoHealthDuties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will conduct innovative research in GeoHealth utilizing AI, GIS, and geospatial data to study health-environment interactions. Responsibilities include publishing high-impact research, securing external funding, teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, developing new courses, supervising students, and contributing to interdisciplinary and departmental activities.Requirements: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Geography, Public Health, or a related discipline, with expertise in GeoHealth, AI, GIS, and spatial epidemiology. A strong publication record is required; 2-3 years of postdoctoral experience is preferred.Terms of AppointmentThe appointment as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 3 years initially, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of the second three-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates at Professor/Associate Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure terms subject to approval.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At the current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of the gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary.
