- Prospect companies via social selling, email, and any other methods of communication to set up meetings or calls with prospective customers.
- Follow up on marketing generated activities tied to outbound sales efforts, targeted campaigns including webinars, white papers and trade shows.
- Research the company and people you are reaching out to using various sources.
- Devise a sales pitch that appropriately conveys the Worldpay story.
- Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using Salesforce.com and Inside Sales tools.
- Develop and manage leads generation process with a view to generate new business opportunities for the Business Development Team.
- Assists in developing the market and working platform for the entire BD team.
- Will work on ecommerce deals together with the sales team or independently – dependent on deal size & complexity.
- You will work with senior management, your peers and colleagues and other internal functions such as marketing, strategy, and vertical teams to establish messaging that effectively conveys Worldpay's values.
- Conduct fact finding during calls or meetings to qualify new leads in terms of deal size, buying cycle, decision making process, timeframe, customer requirements and solution fit.
- Learn about the payments industry and the Worldpay Way. Follow and help refine the outreach process.
- Attend relevant local events as required by manager to network with new prospects and bring in new leads.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
- Experience in sales or payments industry.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new sales skills, processes, and product.
- Strong communication skills in writing, phone, and in-person.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Experience with LinkedIn or any sales tools is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Ability to use WeChat effectively.
- Ability to hold meaningful conversations with C-level executives.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Business development experience in other parts of the payment ecosystem.
