We are looking for a high caliber candidate to join CLAP-JC (“CLAP”), which has entered its second phase for another five-year and is a project initiated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and co-created by The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). It focuses on fostering a sustainable ecosystem to facilitate youth with their transition from school to work, enabling them to pursue a fulfilling life through cross sector collaborations in school, community and workplace, under the framework of Hong Kong Benchmarks for Career and Life Development (HKBM).The appointee will participate in the School-Benchmarks (School-BM) part of the project led by EdUHK and contribute to career and life development (CLD) education among Hong Kong schools, based on the core values and concepts of HKBM. He/She will be responsible for supporting the research initiatives of a multidisciplinary research team.He/She is expected to lead/ co-lead in research strategy design, research project management, which includes data collection, data analysis, interview and writing of research reports/papers/publications, and compiling project outcomes. He/She is also expected to perform administrative and management support to the Project Director and his relevant Research Associates (engaged EdUHK scholars) in carrying out all scheduled studies for the research team. The appointment will be for a period up to August 2025.Applicants should have a relevant Doctoral Degree in Education or Social Sciences such as sociology, psychology, public health, or a related discipline with solid training in quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as very good publication track record. In-depth knowledge of career guidance and/or benchmarking as well as experience in conducting longitudinal studies are desirable. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), self-motivation, and the ability to work independently would be an added advantage. Those with several years' working experience in the related fields are highly preferred.Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
