- Responsible for providing high quality underwriting and claims adjudication services and assessments for the Hong Kong Market within agreed service levels
- Provide high quality decisions on new business cases or increases in existing policies within prescribed personal authority for both life and health portfolio
- Perform research and monitor underwriting practices and guidelines, reporting on emerging trends as relevant to the business and market and prepare underwriting case monitoring report on a monthly basis
- Develop underwriting and claims solutions for new product development initiatives and to provide technical input to help alleviate pricing concerns and considerations and to facilitate the internal product review, and underwriting governance process for new product concepts
- Assist in client underwriting quality assurance reviews, due diligence exercises and underwriting process reviews
- Complete relevant underwriting based training for key clients throughout the Hong Kong market
- Assist the team in enhancing client relationships and new business opportunities for the Hong Kong market
- Bachelor's degree with major in risk management, insurance management, biology science or relevant discipline
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in life and medical underwriting for group and individual within insurance industry. High Net Worth underwriting experience is an advantage
- Strong product knowledge in life and health/ medical/ critical illness etc.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with sound judgement and commercial awareness
- ALU, CII, LOMA, CLU and other relevant professional qualifications
- Strong English, Cantonese verbal and written skills
