$18,965 to $ 21,500 per month, subject to the number of years of relevant working experience
Entry Requirements: Candidates should -
(a) have working experience in performing domestic work and preparation work for banquets, and serving guests in reception in a large household or establishment;
(b) be able to communicate in fluent Cantonese, simple English and simple Putonghua; and able to read and write simple Chinese and simple English; and
(c) have good manners and self-motivated working attitude.
(Note: Candidates will be required to pass a trade test)
Duties: The Contract Domestic Servant in the Chief Secretary for Administration's Official Residence is mainly deployed on -
(a) performing household duties including cleaning, tidying-up places, laundry and ironing work, etc.;
(b) serving food and drinks in banquets and undertaking work in relation to events and functions;
(c) performing duties assigned by Chief Steward, Head Steward and senior officers.
(Note: The Contract Domestic Servant is required to wear uniform and work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays. He/She is required to 'live in' and may be required to work overtime.)
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of two years.
Fringe Benefits A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. The benefits in respect of rest days, statutory holidays, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave or paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance and confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
General Notes: (1) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
