DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERINGAssistant Officer (Ref. 241115014-IE)DutiesThe appointee will be required to:(a) provide administrative support to academic or research programmes and the overall general office management;(b) support programme leaders in daily operations of academic or research programmes;(c) provide secretarial support to meetings and committees;(d) compile statistical reports and maintain database;(e) assist in organizing activities and events; and(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.The appointees may be required to work outside office hours.QualificationsApplicants should:(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;(b) at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience;(c) a good command of both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;(d) proficiency in computer software applications including MS office and Chinese word processing;(e) good communication, interpersonal and time management skills; and(f) self-motivation and the ability to work independently and proactively.Preference will be given to those with experience in tertiary institutions/similar organizations.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.Conditions of ServiceA highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.
