Job Description:The Senior Occupancy Planner oversees and provides occupancy planning expertise in supply, capacity, and demand of Client’s portfolio of space. The Senior Occupancy Planner is ensuring planning exercises align with the client strategic vision and are often responsible for a campus, headquarters, or region of the portfolio comprised of locations with more concentrated headcount.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a more complex asset or region within the client portfolio, potentially managing a larger business unit or complete business unit relationship and often conduct special projects related to occupancy such as M&As
  • Supervise a team of multiple occupancy planners potentially
  • Direct the planning and development of new spatial activities and the activities of current projects and programs
  • Collaborate closely with account leadership teams, service lines, and client representatives on staffing, future projects, and maintaining client relationships
  • Conduct meetings with clients, Space team members and cross-functional account members to inform, consult, request action, and seek approval with internal and client stakeholders
  • Prepare operational presentations and reports illustrating Space pipeline, progress, challenges, opportunities, and recommendations
  • Conduct meetings with clients and team members, seeking approvals, and ensuring compliance with core program standards
  • Demonstrate proactive solutioning through root cause analysis, solution development, evaluation of options, and alternatives and recommendation of the best course of action for projects, processes, and overall program operations
  • Collaborate with facility management team, project team and client RE leadership for alignment and day-to-day operations
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of playbooks, templates, and tools
  • Coach team members in providing effective space planning solutions, move management delivery for all project types (expansions, relocations, consolidations, refreshes), client and vendor relationship management, talent management, and resource utilization
  • Direct the development of planning proposals, site assessments for space efficiencies, utilization metrics, and supply and demand studies and direct the delivery of project activities, including relocations, restacks, renovations, and consolidations
  • Establish goals and objectives with timetables for the organizational unit and sub-units supervised
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate & Facilities Management Planning / Coordination, Facilities, Project / Construction Management, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate real estate environment
  • Demonstrated track record as an Occupancy Planner
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop conclusions and recommendations
  • Proficiency in CAFM software, space management systems, and relational databases database functionality
  • Knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings, concepts & design
  • Project management experience with varying scopes and complexities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
