The Association, with a team of over 1,300 staff members, operates more than 70 service units and projects to render residential services, employment and vocational training, community support for 16,700 people in recovery with mental illness (PIR) and their families, as well as provide mental health education to 37,500 general public annually. As a result of our passionate belief in social inclusion and self-reliance for PIR , we have established different social enterprises with over 20 projects operating currently promoted the well-being message under the brand “330”, which in Cantonese carries the homophonous meaning “body, mind and spirit” – the balance of which we all strive to attain.For more information, please visit http://www.nlpra.org.hkJob Duties: * To lead and manage the Training functions of the Association, including development of internal and external training programs and the development of the Jockey Club New Life Institute of Psychiatric Rehabilitation (the Institute);
  • To oversee and monitor training programs delivered for in-house and external participants to ensure training quality and effectiveness;
  • To network and develop partnership with external training institutes, training consultants or vendors;
  • To formulate annual plan and budget for the Association’s training function and the strategic plan for the Institute;
  • To assist senior management in the formulation, execution and review of the training policy of the Association and the Institute;
  • To supervise and develop team staff of the Training Department; and
  • To work closely with professional service heads and line managers to identify training needs and trends, initiatives and strategies for the capacity building and people development.
Requirements: * A recognized University degree is required and a Master Degree is highly preferred;
  • At least 10 years relevant working experience in the welfare sector or training institute setting, in which at least 5 years in supervisory role and preferably in mental health field;
  • Strong people management skills and able to lead and coach the staff team for quality service delivery;
  • Possess a good understanding of L&D systems and processes, instructional design, content development, training delivery and evaluation of training effectiveness;
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and changing priorities with a passion for improvements;
  • Genuine commitment to the objectives of the Association as well as empathy for rehabilitation, betterment and social welfare services;
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
