Associate Director (Data Management) (Digitalisation Programme)

• Act as data governance and data operations lead
• Provide guidance in the development of data governance framework with effective execution of each of the capabilities to ensure adherence to the guidelines of the Digitalisation Office and OGCIO, with regard to data quality, standards, control, mastering, etc.
• Present management-level data quality metrics and report on the progress of data management governance
• Ensure that data governance goals are translated into policies and procedures, monitoring the progress and enforcement
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and ensure effective execution of the data governance framework and operations
• Support and liaise with business users for data incidents and effective follow up with related parties including internal data engineering team for proper root cause analysis and bug fixing
• Maintain incident management tool to create insight in incident trends and analyses
• Partner with IT Division and Digitalisation Office for a smooth and effective delivery of the data governance framework and tools adoption
• Coordinate and work closely with data stewards and owners in business team for an effective execution of data governance program

• University degree
• At least 3 years of solid working experience in the banking, finance or fund management industry; experience related to investment funds an advantage
• Solid track record of data governance experience in implementing data transformation project
• Familiar with financial and investment data
• Experience in investment management system, IHS Markit enterprise data management platform, data operations process and tools, and data governance tool a plus
• Logical, detail-minded and well-organised
• Good communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in both English and Chinese

• Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
