Job Description:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 09The Team:Transaction Management is a dynamic and highly collaborative team responsible for enabling and managing sales fulfillment processes in an exciting environment. Sales Operations Representatives demonstrate deep proficiency in data and systems management, to develop deep understanding of sales operations practices, and working knowledge of business products, enabling them to provide a full range of support/ancillary services to the commercial organization.The Impact:This position strengthens the organization's relationship with existing accounts by providing quality, efficient and standardized customer service, both pre- and post- sales. Diverse and flexible portfolio coverage, positions the individual to shorten client response times and increase service quality, helping clients meet their financial and risk management needs. The role additionally plays a critical part in ensuring we meet audit and regulatory requirements.What you stand to Gain:High transparency working in both cross functional and global groups, including but not limited to sales, product, analytical support, data, Legal, Compliance, IT, and finance functionsDevelop your Business Insight and Sales Operations processes in the financial services sectorDeepen your knowledge of our primary products and services within the Ratings business and their impact in the Capital MarketsResponsibilities:Assist in the sales implementation processes- primarily including order execution, ensuring accurate billing, and system entry to warrant maximum revenue realizationTrack customer developments and trends to help craft future offeringsCollaborate with Business Developers, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and other Transaction Managers to effectively own the sales pipeline and assist in handling transactional customer queriesCollaborate with other internal functions and act as a bridge between Sales and those functions as requiredComprehend appropriate understanding of relevant regulation and company policies for supporting internal and external clients with guidance from ComplianceMaintain knowledge and comprehension of the pricing strategies and approval guidelinesFacilitate client on-boarding regulatory requirement with internal functionsActively identify and communicate with APAC Head of Transaction Management about opportunities to refine internal processes to streamline commercial operationsDemonstrate strong problem-solving and prioritization skills to be able to deliver quality customer service independentlyBe ready to follow-up on internal and external client matters from start to finish in a timely and accurate mannerBe prepared to participate in periodic and/or occasional global or cross-regional meetings which can happen out of APAC business hours, i.e. early mornings or evenings in APAC.Proactively learn and master the use S&P in-house systems and vendor platforms for business operationsProvide coverage and assistance to APAC region as and when required by APAC Head of Transaction ManagementWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree. Business, marketing, finance, economics or related discipline is preferred.An S&P Global Employee at this level would typically have 3-5 years of full-time working experience, preferably in client services, sales operations, sales support, commercial or business management, account management, CRM or related rolesStrong oral and written communication to effectively work well with clients and S&P Global employeesAdvanced systems skills, including complete understanding of Excel (proficiency with formulas, macros, pivots would be advantageous), Word, Adobe.Multi-lingual - Excellent command of reading, writing, speaking and listening of English, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese; Mandarin Chinese proficiency is essential, native Mandarin Chinese is desirable.English and Mandarin Chinese typing skills is required.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to comprehend and speak Japanese is highly desirable, individuals who are able to speak Korean will also be considered.Knowledge of salesforce.comUnderstanding of primary products/services within a Ratings business, and elementary understanding of the Capital Markets would be advantageousPrevious experience working across a fast-paced matrix organization partnering with cross-functional teams, preferably in financial institutionsPrior involvement in business process improvement or experiences in identifying workflow enhancement opportunities#LI-KM1About S&P Global Ratings
