  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and production, to ensure effective supplier selection and qualification processes for new product introductions.
  • Drive supplier quality initiatives throughout the product development process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough quality verifications of suppliers, including evaluating their quality systems, manufacturing processes, and facilities.
  • Perform supplier audits to assess their compliance with quality requirements, identify areas of improvement, and drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement necessary actions to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
  • Work closely with suppliers to establish clear quality objectives, metrics, and improvement plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, providing guidance and support in achieving and sustaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any quality-related issues, implementing effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, supplier quality assurance, and auditing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with product development processes and new product introductions.
  • Excellent understanding of quality tools and methodologies, such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
