Our Client is a well-known Insurance Company in Hong Kong. They are seeking a talented Business Analyst with strong knowledge in insurance products to join the product team and drive strategic initiatives that enhance our product offerings and operational efficiency. The contract for this role is renewable.Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of insurance products, including policy lifecycle management, underwriting processes, claims handling, and reinsurance strategies.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders, including product managers, underwriters, claims adjusters, and compliance teams.
  • Develop detailed business process models, use cases, and user stories to support the design and implementation of insurance systems and enhancements.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within insurance portfolios, utilizing tools such as SQL, Excel, or BI software.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and incorporate risk management principles into product development.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and vendors to translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit requirements and resolve ambiguities.
  • Monitor market trends in the insurance industry and provide insights to inform product roadmap and innovation.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements of the Role
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Insurance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years focused on insurance products and services.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, products, and processes, including policy administration, rating engines, and actuarial concepts.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
