As the Head Teacher (Curriculum), you will play a critical role in ensuring the academic excellence and success of our students. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the curriculum, as well as managing various administrative tasks related to academic planning, evaluation, examination administration, and resource management.Job Description- Collaborate with Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB DP Coordinators to develop the annual academic plan, aligning it with the college's strategic objectives.- Conduct interviews and participate in the selection process for new teachers and support staff.- Work closely with the college's timetabler to create and manage the master academic schedule.- Conduct evaluation of academic programme, responsible for performance management and appraisal activities for teachers. This includes target-setting, coaching, research, acting planning, and lesson observation.- Coordinate all aspects of the college's IGCSE Programme in collaboration with the IGCSE Exams Officers.- Facilitate the administration of specialized exams required for university/college/boarding school admissions.- Coordinate and approve professional development opportunities (academic) for teachers and support staff, and communicate approvals and relevant issues to the School Principal.The Successful Applicant- A master's degree in education or a related field.- A teaching qualification and substantial teaching experience.- Experience in curriculum development and planning.- Strong leadership and management skills.- Excellent organizational and communication skills.- Familiarity with examination administration procedures.- Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into the curriculum.- Experience in staff professional development.What's on OfferOur client offers the successful candidate a promising career path with a dynamic working environment.
