Ultimately, by delivering our smoke-free and beyond nicotine-future, your work could help accelerate the end of cigarettes.Your 'day to day'You will work as a 12 months' fixed term contractor to support Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. in Hong Kong. You may be required to be engaged by a 3rd party service provider to be assigned to work at PMAL. You will play a very meaningful role in the Global Reverse Operations Sustainability team in implementing the corporate's strategy to achieve PMI Sustainability targets on recycling and waste management. The team helps markets to establish local recycling solutions complying with PMI's Circle Program's standards.With detailed knowledge on Reverse Operations, Reverse Logistics & Sustainability of electronics, you will lead relevant activities which involves local and global regulatory frameworks, legal, sustainability, logistics, IT, finance, operations, contractual deployment…etc. to ensure that all local markets can comply with PMI circular standards for recycling electronic products.
  • Drive extension of the Reverse Operations program to local markets where we have market presence of electronic devices by guiding a cross-functional local and central team through the requirements of handling and processing returned electronic devices for proper recycling.
  • Ensure the local recycling chain is in compliance with all relevant local regulations, as well as recycling chain's readiness (contracts, licenses, systems) are in place.
  • Evaluate recyclers' capabilities and establish periodic monitoring and reporting procedures.
  • Lead relevant projects and activities, develop/fine tune standards and methodologies; deploy tools, systems, processes and communications platforms to increase operation efficiency.
  • Assist central Legal, Sustainability & Supply Chain teams in strategies and compliance process setup as per market needs in reverse operations.
  • Provide regular reporting on statuses of projects to PMI's senior leadership team and relevant collaborators. Monitor and lead tasks and activities to ensure proper delivery on time.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree holder in Supply Chain / Business Administration / Sustainability, or equivalent expertise.
  • Experience leading cross-functional international projects, with experience in subject matter, such as legal, logistics and compliance.
  • Experience in projects/operations on recycling and sustainability. Experience with consumer electronics is highly preferred.
  • Experience running operations and handling budgets.
  • Knowledge of electronics product life cycle, end-of-life programs, and logistics flows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and data analytical skills, learning agility, good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to travel if requested (limited and not more than 20%).
