Exciting Opportunity: Data Platform EngineerIntroductionOur client is a global investment company that operates across Asia, Europe and the US, with innovative strategies at the core of their ethos, focusing on fixed-income with global macro perspectives, blending cutting-edge technology with human expertise.About the RoleThey are building a modern, secure, and high-performance data platform-and we're looking for a Data Platform Engineer with strong DevOps and integration experience to help them get there. You'll play a key role in integrating systems and services into our new platform, working with a cutting-edge stack in a private cloud environment.What You'll Do

Design and implement integration pipelines to onboard data sources and services onto the platform.
Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to automate infrastructure provisioning and service deployment using Terraform , Puppet , and Ansible .
Manage authentication and authorisation flows using OIDC/Entra ID .
Support and scale Trino and Apache Iceberg for high-performance querying and storage.
Deploy and manage workloads using Nomad in a private cloud environment.
Monitor system health and performance using tools like Grafana .
Ensure secure, compliant, and reliable data operations across the platform.

What You Bring

Solid experience in DevOps , infrastructure automation , and platform integration .
Hands-on expertise with Terraform , Puppet , Ansible , and Nomad .
Familiarity with Trino , Apache Iceberg , and modern data lakehouse architectures.
Strong understanding of OIDC , identity management , and access control .
Experience working in on-prem/private cloud environments, ideally with HashiCorp tooling .
Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration concepts.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for building scalable, secure systems.

Nice to Have

Experience with streaming data or real-time processing .
Background in SRE or platform engineering .
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
A daptability: Enthusiasm for a dynamic, hands-on environment with multiple concurrent projects
Financial Insights (Optional): Experience with financial or market data is a plus.
