Job Description:Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting a feasibility study and providing advice on technical, design and statutory compliance
  • Providing technical input in initial and ongoing consultation with end users, providing technical advice in the development of design brief documents
  • Assist in design development and producing high-quality design referencing to ESF Design Standard and complying with applicable statutory requirements
  • Ensuring the design fulfils functional, user / operational needs, health/safety/sustainability, maintainability, aesthetics and cost requirements with best value
  • Assist in producing design documentation including layout plans, elevations, sections, construction details, 3D rendering, mood board and design presentation
  • Producing tender documentation including tender drawings and technical specifications
  • Closely coordinating and collaborating with other design disciplines such as building services, structural engineering, quantity surveyor and other specialists to ensure the design is fully coordinated
  • Assist in the technical evaluation of consultants and contractors during the tender assessment process
  • Review, comment and approve contractors' submittals such as shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, etc.
  • Assist in monitoring and supervising on-site and off-site works, inspecting material and workmanship to ensure the works delivered are of good quality
  • Preparing and providing regular project status reports and presentations to the Architect and Senior Project Manager
  • Managing project close out from the owner's perspective, including managing the handover/snagging and defect rectification process, and ensuring a complete and accurate set of O&M manual, warranty documentation, as-built drawings and records are in place and in order
  • Provide input on the development of ESF Design Standard on architectural aspects
  • To perform other duties and assume accountabilities as apparent or as delegated
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Study
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Application of architectural design knowledge and detailing
  • 2D and 3D drafting
  • Ability to follow established standards
  • Fluency in oral and written English, Cantonese (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Applies a good understanding of HKSAR building codes and standards.
  • Applies good knowledge of construction practices and safety rules.
  • Applied good knowledge of procurement and tendering processes.
  • Applies a good understanding of building contract administrations.
  • Applies good planning and management skills.
