- Provides leadership around risk management including
- Looking after the Asset Liability Management of the Regional office
- establishes and rolls out local frameworks, policies and operating guidelines within the parameters set out in Enterprise Risk Management framework and policies and works with management to implement processes to ensure compliance with the frameworks, policies, operating guidelines and local regulatory requirement
- Provides independent oversight and challenge over management to ensure that management has implemented effective risk management processes. Ensure that risk based measurement and reporting metrics, including risk limits and exception reporting is established.
- Facilitate the annual "Key Risk Identification Process". Provide quarterly status updates on Key Risk and continuously communicate emerging risk issues and potential and actual breaches of Risk Management policies.
- Provides strategic risk challenge to management on business strategy and key business initiatives. Identifies key business risks and works with the business to ensure risks are appropriately assessed and monitored, mitigation strategies are developed and implemented in a timely manner.
- Serve as the lead for annual strategic asset allocation planning.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Asset-Liability Management (ALM) and/or overseeing insurance asset portfolios and asset management companies.
- Professional designation such as Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in designing ALM and investment strategies tailored to insurance liabilities and capital requirements, including the development of reporting and control frameworks to monitor ALM effectiveness.
- Deep understanding of the operational models, business drivers, and regulatory landscape of asset management companies in China.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to drive constructive change and gain stakeholder alignment.
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently, managing competing priorities, and adapting to evolving responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively and diplomatically in high-pressure, complex environments.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Experience in the health insurance sector is a plus.
