Job ID: 10899Job Posting DetailsThe Department is looking for a skillful, self-motivated and high caliber individual who is capable of supporting research and teaching activities to fill the position of Assistant Technical Officer.Duties & responsibilities of the appointee include: * Support faculty members and researchers in procuring lab equipment, consumables and services, and update equipment inventory list periodically;

Provide training of various equipment to new users and conduct routine checking for lab equipment through inspection, maintenance and calibration; (Knowledge in using Universal Testing Machine, Shake Table, LVDT Sensors, Data Logger etc. will be a preference.)
Support the Department in the preparation for designated teaching laboratory courses and student functions or activities;
Keep the laboratories safe and ensure a good working environment by daily inspection in cooperation with the Health, Safety & Environment Office (HSEO);
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a diploma or certificate or above in Civil and Environmental Engineering or other related disciplines. They should be good team players with a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua). (Duration: 2 years, renewable)Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
