Medical Technologist (MLT I)

• Direct the set-up, control and periodic review on SOP and Workflow Instructions of the departments
• Manage the use of equipment and methods to be adopted for tests and procedures
• Supervise on performance checks on instruments and equipment and evaluate on new methodologies and instruments regularly
• Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Perform quality control and external proficiency testing
• Comply with all current good laboratory practices and laboratory standard operating procedure and company policies and procedures with reference to HOKLAS ISO15189 accreditation requirements
• Ensuring environmental conditions meet maximum safety regulatory requirements, and enforcing safety measures against fire, caustic and toxic chemicals and bacterial hazards
• Participate in human resources planning, training and manpower arrangement for shift duties
• Liaise with other departments and hospital administration for better coordination

• Recognized Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent Science Degree
• Master degree holder is highly preferred
• Part I Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist with a valid Practising Certificate issued by the HKMLT Board
• Fluent in Cantonese and English, writing and speaking.
• Able to work in a sizable team with excellent leadership skillsAt least 10 years of experience working in medical laboratory, more than 5 years of which shall be at a supervisory level
• Applicant with experience in Clinical Chemistry/ Microbiology Haematology/Pathology/ Core Laboratory
