Join us if you share our mission.Pro-Act Training and Development Centre (Electrical)Chief Instructor (Electrical Engineering) Ref.: C/PA(EL)/CI(EE)/03/24-AP2Major Duties: (a) To develop and review syllabi and curricula of training programmes and schemes; (b) To develop and maintain networks with the industry and related associations; (c) To report and monitor the implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures; (d) To plan and oversee installation, operation and maintenance of training facilities and equipment; (e) To assist in overseeing student administration, support and services, including student recruitment, admission and placement; (f) To assist in overseeing the daily operations regarding programme and academic management, resources management, staffing, finance and procurement; (g) To assist in leading / coordinating programme teams and validation and accreditation of programmes; (h) To coordinate in-service training programmes; (i) To act as Stream Leader and serve in Boards of Examiners and other academic / management committees and workgroups; (j) To coordinate special events and organise skills competitions; and (k) To perform teaching duties, update teaching and assessment materials where necessary.Requirements: (a) A recognised higher diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; (b) At least 9 years' work or teaching experience in the relevant industry; (c) A registered Electrical Worker; (d) Extensive experience in the installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical facilities / systems and good knowledge in the compliance of related regulations; (e) Good supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills, and good administrative and leadership abilities; (f) Good language proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and (g) The ability to pass a trade test.Notes:
(1) Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in (a) above but possessing 16 years' relevant experience may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
(4) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.APPLICATIONS
