Job Description:Location: Wanchai, Hong KongThis is a hybrid position primarily based in Hong Kong. We're committed to your flexibility and wellbeing and our hybrid strategy currently requires two days a week in the office, giving you the option to work remotely for some of your working week. .We give you a world of potentialA challenging opportunity has risen in our Issuer Services business - Corporate Services team!Corporate Services (COS) is our primary department within our Global Core Operations to coordinate all services provided to our listed issuer clients, including corporate actions execution, dividend payments disbursements, shareholder communications and shareholder meetings support. COS would often interact with other departments within Operations to achieve these objectives, to ensure a timely service delivery that is also compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.A role you will loveThe Senior Officer will manage and administer a portfolio of client accounts, and work closely with external professional parties and other internal teams in providing relevant services to Hong Kong listed companies. This role will be responsible for day-to-day operation in the team.Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Liaise with listed clients and professional parties (e.g. paying banks, lawyers, investment banks, etc.) on timetables for various corporate actions, including dividend payments, rights issue, open offer, scrip dividend, capital reorganization, change in authorized share capital, delisting, privatization, etc.
  • Deliver meeting services at shareholder meetings, including registration of shareholders, meeting venue logistics and vote tabulation
  • Calculate entitlements for registered shareholders and prepare relevant correspondences to listed clients and paying banks
  • Execute shares/units movement according to corporate listed clients' instruction
  • Liaise with responsible internal parties to ensure the corporate communication documents be dispatched on schedule
  • Prepare analysis reports and shareholder lists for listed clients
  • Receive dealing instruction from listed clients and coordinate with internal parties for execution
What will you bring to the role?To ensure the services to clients are delivered on time, this role requires strong coordination and communication skills, good in time management and a detailed-mind is essential for smoothly operation. This role is preferred to have a university degree in business related discipline to truly understand the business and succeed in this role.Other key skills required for the role include:
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the financial services industry
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing
  • Experience in handling corporate action projects / corporate clients will be an advantage
