- provide all-round support to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) and/ or his delegate in launching and implementing new research development initiatives;
- organize events and meetings to promote research among faculty members and researchers;
- maintain and update the website of the Office;
- handle research grant applications and project matters;
- process reimbursement claims and direct payment requests for research activities and projects;
- develop and maintain central databases for grant applications, on-going projects and research publications, and compile statistical reports on research performance and research activities; and
- provide administrative support to University committees and other functions of the Office.
- possess a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of working experience, preferably in research grant administration and higher education sector;
- have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- possess good computer skills and have administrative abilities, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
- be highly attentive to details and have the ability to maintain accurate databases and records; and
- be a good team player and able to work independently and efficiently.
