Closing Date: Until the post is filledThe Department of Information Engineering (IE) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is seeking outstanding candidates for Research Assistant Professorship (RAP) in the area of artificial intelligence, 6G wireless communications and networking, signal processing, optimization and machine learning in information engineering and related fields.Applicants should have (i) a relevant PhD degree; (ii) demonstrated strong research ability in artificial intelligence, signal processing, optimization, wireless communications and networking, or related areas.The successful candidate is expected to (a) conduct research as the main duty; (b) actively pursue external research grants, such as General Research Fund, in the capacity of Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator; (c) co-supervise and mentor students at undergraduate and graduate levels; (d) undertake teaching duties at undergraduate and graduate levels; and (e) provide service at department, faculty, and university levels. The appointee will work closely work with Prof. Angela Yingjun Zhang’s team in the department.Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years.
