PurposeA key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Lead and drive the day-to-day material availability management in production phase and ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met to achieve company objectives. Build and maintain the relationships between adidas group and material suppliers. Proactively work with cross-functional partners to develop growth plans for operational capabilities and ensure that adidas Group Materials Sourcing objectives are achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and implement materials availability management initiatives to improve Tier 2s’ capabilities and capacities during production phase, and to raise capacities transparency to Material Operations. Collaborate closely with Planning & Allocation to optimize the operation efficiency.Proactively review and assess current processes, procedures, systems for continuous improvement and enhancements. Share the best practices internally or externally for planning efficiency.Drive to achieve material planning of Sourcing Strategy. Ensure suppliers have the right information and knowledge to meet the objective given, e.g. greige buffer, material escalations, duty, speed…etc.Lead the coordination across materials operation planning of material teams.Lead analysis studies on business data for strategic decision making.Closely work with Materials Operations and/or cross-function teams, and T2’s, to identify any potential capacity/production issues, provide solutions to resolve them in advance.Execute supplier performance framework by tracking and facilitating planning related milestones.Closely monitor T2s monthly performance and proactively follow up with internal teams and T2s on improvements.Train, guide, and update Materials Operations team and T2s on adidas policies, processes, and procedures changes to ensure they are fully compliant with adidas standards and operation requirements.Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.Key RelationshipsGlobal Sourcing: Materials Operations, Materials Planning & AllocationProduct OperationsExternal stakeholders: Tier 1, Tier 2 suppliersSourcing Liaison OfficeKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesLeadership qualities that contribute to achieving the company’s strategic objectives and personal development goals.Strong people and influencing communication skills.Strong business acumen, data-analytical and negotiation skills.Strong problem-solving and project management skills.Ability to drive initiatives and challenges status quo.Strong understanding of production planning, purchasing practices, and terminology.Possesses growth mindset and prioritize one’s betterment to enhance performance.Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.Fluent in English communication.Requisite Education and ExperienceUniversity degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain is preferred.7+ years professional experience in textile or supply chain is preferred.
