- Develop and implement regional trade compliance strategies and controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Monitor and interpret changes in trade laws and customs regulations, assessing their impact and advising stakeholders.
- Oversee documentation and licensing requirements for the movement of goods, including controlled items.
- Identify potential compliance risks and implement mitigation measures, escalating issues as needed.
- Support new market entries, distribution models, and e-commerce channels through compliance assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams not limited to Logistics, Retail, Legal, IT to align on compliance protocols.
- Ensure accurate product classification, valuation, and country of origin determination using global trade systems.
- Leverage Free Trade Agreements and other opportunities to enhance cost-effective and compliant trade flows.
- Deliver training and guidance to regional and local teams to embed compliance into daily operations.
- Bachelor Degree Holder
- Minimum 10 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably within retail, consulting, or logistics sectors.
- Strong expertise in APAC customs regulations, import/export controls, product classification, and bonded warehouse operations.
- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory environments and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with government agencies and customs authorities.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of navigating ambiguity with confidence.
