You will benefit our pupils and people, through our programmes such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, IMG and King's College London.The role:We seek a qualified Teacher of Learning Support to join our thriving and dynamic team across our outstanding International Primary School where your focus will be:
  • To provide professional leadership for the Learning Support provision, and secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning & achievement for all pupils.
  • To fulfil the school's mission statement by delivering high quality education to our pupils, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning, social and welfare needs.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, pupils and parents to secure the best outcomes possible for every learner.
  • Maintain and raise standards where required and monitor and support pupil in all phases of the Primary provision.
  • Connect to our vision to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens, who will change our world for the better
  • Inspire and motivate our pupils to succeed
The Successful Candidate will possess:
  • Qualified to Bachelor of Education or appropriate Degree with PGCE in relevant Learning Support subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching in a UK and/or international environment
  • Learning Support Training or similar qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years' teaching experiences
  • Knowledge and understanding of pupils' learning and development and how this relates to Learning Support practice
  • Knowledge and awareness of current educational developments in Learning Support
  • Evidence of knowledge and understanding of wider educational developments
  • Knowledge and experience in raising standards for all groups of pupils
  • How to plan, deliver, monitor, and evaluate lessons and learning as part of the school curriculum
  • Knowledge of the English National Curriculum and related subject knowledge
  • Knowledge of assessment and reporting procedures
  • Knowledge of IGCSE and IB syllabus and arrangements
  • Ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of pupils
  • Successfully teach pupils using technology in a virtual/hybrid environment

You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and pupils. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for Hong Kong of the China Region, including a Qualified to Bachelor of Education or appropriate Degree with PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status, hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent from other countries.
