The Musculoskeletal Ageing Research Laboratory at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology is recruiting a Research Assistant to carry out bench side and clinical research projects related to ageing muscle and neuromuscular degeneration.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Science or related disciplines; (ii) a good knowledge of and interest in research; (iii) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin); (iv) exceptional organisational skills; and (v) good scientific problem-solving skills.The appointee will work in a research team at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. He/She will (a) participate in clinical research; (b) undertake patient recruitment and assessments; (c) undertake database management; (d) conduct data analysis with the research team; and (e) perform other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.
