Established by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (“TWGHs”) in 2010, Tung Wah College (TWC) is a self-financing degree-granting institution registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap.320). Following the educational ideals of TWGHs and leveraging on its renowned strengths and expertise, TWC aims to provide high quality tertiary education to nurture competent, socially responsible and caring professionals for the benefits of society.With the staunch support of TWGHs, TWC has been developing rapidly and built up a niche in healthcare education. It is the first self-financing tertiary institution offering five professionally accredited degrees to train nurses and allied health professionals such as medical laboratory technologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and radiation therapists. Besides, the College is also the first institution registered under Cap. 320 offering early childhood education degree and higher diploma programmes to train qualified kindergarten teachers and child care professionals.Currently, TWC has 4 schools (namely School of Arts and Humanities, School of Management, School of Medical and Health Sciences, and School of Nursing) running a total of 19 degree, sub-degree, diploma, certificate and advanced certificate programmes in several disciplines. It has a student population of over 4,000 in 2024/2025.Being a young and vibrant institution, TWC aspires to become a leading private university in the long-term. We invite applications for a Professor/Associate Professor position to contribute to our innovative academic programmes focused on health services management and technology. This role involves leading curriculum development, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students to foster future leaders in the field. Applicants are expected to engage in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in English and Putonghua.Key Responsibilities * Teaching and Curriculum Development:Lead the design and delivery of programme curriculum and advanced courses in smart health, health services management and related fields.Develop innovative teaching materials and assessment strategies aligned with relevant competency frameworks.Supervise and mentor students in their research projects and academic pursuits. * Research and Scholarship:Conduct high-quality research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in health services management and technology.Publish findings in reputable academic journals and present at national and international conferences.Collaborate with industry partners on research projects that address real-world challenges. * Leadership and Administration:Participate in programme administration, including curriculum review and strategic planning.Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty, industry experts, and healthcare professionals.Engage in community outreach and promote academic initiatives within professional networks. * Professional Development:Stay updated on developments in health services and technology, integrating new knowledge into teaching.Contribute to faculty development through workshops and training sessions. * Service:Serve on academic and administrative committees as required.Actively participate in College governance and contribute to the broader academic community.Qualifications
  • A PhD in a relevant field;
  • Demonstrated expertise in smart health, health services management or related disciplines;
  • A strong record of research, publication, and teaching experience;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Putonghua.
