Executive Officer I/IIThe role of the Office of Strategic Developments (OSD) is to foster and synergise the strategic developments of the University, particularly in facilitating the senior management of the University in defining strategic directions and in making informed and timely decisions throughout the policy formulation, co-ordination, and execution stages. OSD invites applications for the position of Executive Officer I/II.Reporting to the OSD Director or his/her designate, the appointee will be responsible for (a) taking charge of project implementation, including organising events, workshops, and conferences; (b) developing and producing marketing contents and materials for training programmes and events in various formats, such as written copy (English and Chinese), graphics, photos, videos, etc.; (c) collaborating and liaising with internal parties and external stakeholders; (d) providing secretarial support to committees and working groups; and (e) performing any other duties as assigned. Occasional travelling may be required.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) fulfilled the language requirements set out on the website: ; (iii) at least 8 years of post-qualification executive experience, preferably in marketing communications, public relations, advertising, event management, or related fields; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) strong project management and multitasking skills; and (vi) good interpersonal and organizational skills with a strong sense of responsibility. Having high literacy in computer applications with good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other new media tools would be an advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and/or academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
