More information about the Department can be found at .The PositionWe now invite applications for appointment as Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in strategic research areas of Chemical Biology, including but not limited to:
  • Chemical biology of nucleic acids, proteins and other biomacromolecules;
  • Chemoproteomics;
  • Chemical genetics and epigenetics;
  • Molecular probes and bioimaging;
  • Synthetic biology;
  • Bio-catalysis;
  • Medicinal chemical biology and drug discovery;
  • AI in chemical biology.
Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a relevant field
  • A strong publication record in top and leading scientific journals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring students
What We OfferThe appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 3 years initially, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of the second three-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates at Professor/Associate Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure terms subject to approval.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave, professional leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. A start-up package that is commensurate with the needs and experience of the appointee will be provided.How to ApplyThe University only accepts online application for the above post.
