Together with global production and merchandising, quality, Supply Chain Strategy & Program and product creation teams, it's to ensure our products are produced of the highest quality, delivered when needed, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world.The team owns the analytics related to costing and comprehends the underlying issues that create complexity for the vendors and the production process. They also support productivity and efficiency by providing leadership and direction to their partners, minimising waste and enhancing operations, and using proven industrial engineering techniques to achieve competitive advantage and improve quality and productivity.A day in the life:
  • Prepare Operation breakdown for various types of entire Accessories from low to high complexity, such as hats, headbands, key chains, belt bags, wallets, backpacks, luggage equipment, and handbags (e.g. nylon, PU & leather) with required processes
  • Calculate SMV for all processes involved in making accessories and equipment from start to end of manufacturing using GSD software
  • Maintain lululemon's Finished Goods SMV standardisation library for different product classes to achieve the best cost for the business
  • Assist the entire finished goods global vendor base (60+) with costing/construction standards creation and ensure vendor uniformity
  • Develop tools and reports to lead the Sourcing and Global LLO Merchandising team to achieve in-season costing standards by mapping seasonal data to cost sheet data and reports management
  • Integrate new vendors with standardised costing methodology to ensure an easy transition into the vendor matrix
  • Establish a network of Costing and Industrial Engineers in-country to execute standards building and ensure vendor adherence
  • Assist a team of costing engineers in regularly updating our standards library with the SOPs and style-level standard calculations
  • Employ in-region Costing Engineers to educate and align with vendors on costing standards to improve overall transparency
  • Suggest potential savings direction to the Sourcing and Global LLO Merchandising leadership to set targets for upcoming seasons
Qualifications:
  • You have a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering and a GSD certification to challenge manufacturing suppliers in SMV and the best methods
  • You have 8+ years of experience in Accessories manufacturing as Industrial engineering teams, 5+ years as a GSD practitioner, and 4+ years in brand offices with product costing-related roles
  • Ability to support and manage critical problems in manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement projects from different types of cutting, sewing and finishing processes in manufacturing accessories
  • You have been a great team player for over the years, collaborating, supporting, and contributing to the team's success. Your interpersonal skills enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and help build a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Agile, responds positively to change, embraces and employs new practices to accomplish goals and solve problems
  • You have been in a matrix international work environment which requires you to utilise your influencing skills and collaborative efforts fully
