- Closely monitor updates and changes in HK and mainland insurance market, including but not limited to industry trend, competitor movements, market competitive analysis, market opportunities and threats, specific client segment to identify the potential business opportunity. Analyze and draw conclusions from research undertaken to improve the SLHK’s product positioning in the fast -changing market situation.
- Drive target client research to constantly identify gap in SLHK’s product to enhance Sun Life’s clients’ impact.
- Drive product design and innovation according to research result and business needs to help achieving company’s business target, focusing on fulfilling the life protection, health, saving, retirement and legacy needs of clients.
- Proactively manage the product approval process to get relevant stakeholders’ buy-in of the product proposition including senior management, regional office and distribution teams.
- Steer discussion with distribution teams to ensure product’s marketability, form sales stories, seek market’s feedback on the products and react with potential solutions to support business growth opportunity across all channels.
- Work collaboratively with internal functions to drive recommended solution and ensure the feasibility of product designs.
- Lead and deliver product-related initiatives by adopting a disciplined project management approach and follow the product development operating guideline.
- Participate in material preparation for the product development. Be responsible and pursue for quality of the project deliverables to ensure accuracy of product materials.
- Work effectively with all relevant departments across the company to implement projects on time and efficiently.
- Act as product SME to contribute in various projects such as new regulation implementation, operation enhancements, business development initiatives, etc.
- Identify and drive seasonal projects/promotions in response to market and business needs
- Represent product team to promote the products to all channels with respect to product proposition, key selling points, market competitiveness, administration rules, sales support, and etc.
- Support to construct a forward-looking product strategy and roadmap for SLHK to strengthen and spearhead our ambition to achieve the business targets.
- Coach and develop team members to advance their knowledge and improve the overall capabilities and core competence of the team.
- Bachelor Degree holder
- At least 7 - 10 years’ relevant life insurance experience in product development and management.
- Possess in-depth understanding of the insurance products, clients’ needs, sales process and industry development in HK. Knowledge of mainland market would be a plus.
- Excellent stakeholders management, facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong drive and proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and make optimal use of resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese, English and Mandarin
