1. To setup all hardware such as PC, printers, computer equipment and software installation & maintenance
2. To set up IT facilities for in-house and public events
3. To act as a contact point with ITMD and OS Section in different computer-related surveys and tasks
4. To assist in procuring computer assets and keeping inventory record of computer equipment updated
5. To assist in conducting different surveys and data analysis tasks
6. To configure, troubleshooting and maintain the IT-infrastructure including email system, webpage, servers and network issues; and
7. To perform any other duties as assigned by the seniorsYrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 0.0
Yrs of Relevant Exp 2.0
Requirements a. Holder of a degree awarded by a university in Hong Kong or equivalent; or
b. An accredited associate degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institute, or a diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college, in information technology, or equivalent;
c. Five subjects, including English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) AND Chinese Language, at Level 2 /Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) / Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination(HKCEE), or equivalent;
d. At least two years&;#8217; experience in the control and operation of computer systems such as Windows, Netware or helpdesk/ computer network operation, or LAN administration, or PC / LAN support services.
Technical Skills:
. At least 6 months' experience in Chinese Processing (CHI);
. At least 6 months' experience in HTML version before HTML5 (HTM);
. At least 6 months' experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM);
. At least 6 months' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
. At least 6 months' experience in Web Hosting, Design and Maintenance (WED);
. 6 months' experience in System Backup Operation (BKO) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in Chinese Computing Standards, eg.HKSCS,Big5,Unicode (CCS) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in IT Planning (ITP) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in Multimedia (MUL) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in PC LAN Support (PLS) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in Data Administration (DAM) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in Data Architecture (DAR) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in Data Management (DMT) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 6 months' experience in IT procurement (PRO);
. At least 6 months' experience in software testing (STM);
. 6 months' experience in IT strategy and policy advice (SPA) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in site preparation (SPE) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in customer service (CLS) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT) is an advantage;
. Excellent Putonghua is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in managing Government IT standards (ITG) is an advantage.- At least 2 years'relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
