The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has launched an AI education project in 2019, namely CUHK Jockey Club AI for the Future Project, which aims to mainstream AI education through maintaining a sustainable AI education ecosystem among Hong Kong secondary schools. Led by the Faculties of Engineering and Education with funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Project has been collaborating with over 160 secondary schools to reach beyond 30,000 students and is now extending to its second phase from 2022 to 2026. The Project engages secondary schools and teachers with provisions of a novel and comprehensive AI curriculum, all-inclusive AI courseware, hands-on learning on an e-platform and AI knowledge enrichment to teachers. To engage the public in AI education, the Project offers a wide diversity of public education events to enhance public understanding towards AI technologies.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Education, Psychology, Statistics or related disciplines; (ii) strong statistical and analytical skills; (iii) knowledge and research skills in statistical software; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); and (v) strong initiative and teamwork spirit. Those with at least three years’ work experience are preferred.The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting Professors and Postdoctoral Fellows in literature search and review; (b) developing measurement and evaluation on the effectiveness of learning a curriculum provided, including pre- and post- assessment, surveys and evaluations; (c) performing quantitative and/or qualitative analysis; (d) carrying out data mining, analysis, synthesis, visualisation and presentation; (e) writing reports and disseminating findings; and (f) managing the e-platform statistics and overall project evaluation.Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site.
