Learning Manager – Inflight ServicesDepartment: Cathay Academy (CXA)The Learning Specialist will be responsible for delivering compliance-training sessions to all categories of cabin crew. Additionally, the position will involve supporting trainee performance and managing the classroom environment, maintaining and organising learning materials, preparing for training sessions, and handling administrative tasks related to post-training follow-up.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct compliance training for cabin crew members, which includes various topics such as crew resources management, wheelchair transfer techniques, occupational health and safety to meet with Cathay’s service standards, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess cabin crew training performance, provide feedback and coaching to participants
  • Perform administrative duties (e.g. training reports, records)
  • Classroom or mock-up preparation and housekeeping for training
  • Assist in promoting cabin safety and service related concepts and best practices to the cabin crew community
  • Perform training duties on other subjects related to service and operational standards which are deemed appropriate as and when assign
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service, hospitality and/or cabin crew experience
  • Training and development experiences will be an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Good presentation skills and good working knowledge of computer skills with MS Office applications
  • A quick learner, organised and able to work effectively and professionally under time pressure with strong desire to help others to succeed
  • Flexible and adaptive to change
  • Strong planning and organising skills in support of project work
  • Sound PC knowledge in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint a must
  • Willingness to work occasionally during rest days and public holidays (compensatory day off will be given in lieu)
