- Conduct comprehensive and periodic reviews of investment products offered to private banking clients, with a strong emphasis on understanding sophisticated and complex products such as loss absorption products, structured products, FX and equity derivatives.
- Assess and manage product risks, assign appropriate risk ratings, and implement risk management strategies.
- Adhere to HKMA / SFC regulations, HSBC internal policies regarding the sale and distribution of investment products, maintaining a keen awareness of upcoming updates and changes.
- Work collaboratively with frontline sales, risk, and compliance teams to design and implement effective sales processes tailored to different investment products and sale journeys.
- Develop and document standardized procedures and cue cards to guide frontline staff in adhering to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with regulatory requirements related to client disclosures, including but not limited to best execution, monetary and non-monetary benefit disclosure, product feature disclosure, risk disclosure, and pricing disclosure.
- Maintain public fee schedules and internal pricing grids for all investment products, design policies and procedures for discount approval authorities, ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- University Graduate in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Private Banking, with a demonstrated track record of success in Product Governance, Sales Process, and Pricing.
- In-depth knowledge of investment products offered to private banking clients, particularly complex and sophisticated products.
- Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements from HKMA and SFC related to the sale and distribution of investment products.
- Familiarity with HSBC's internal FIM policies and procedures will be considered advantageous.
- Proven ability to design and implement effective sales processes for diverse investment products and client segments.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough product reviews and risk assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Proactive attitude towards staying abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Great interpersonal skills and proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
