- Assist the HK Head of Risk & Compliance in managing the institution’s compliance governance and assurance framework.
- Participate in risk assessments, audits and incident reviews to ensure business findings are fairly justified and properly documented. Manage remediation and follow-up actions to ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate internal and external health checks, arrange for necessary and ad hoc sample testings based on regulatory and business needs, implement robust transaction monitoring, and maintain internal control assurance framework.
- Track and disseminate new regulations and regulatory updates to business units, and collaborate with business unit leaders in conducting needs analysis with briefings to ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
- Support the development and updating of risk and compliance policies and business continuity processes. Ensure policies and procedures are practicable and properly complied with.
- Prepare for local and group reporting, ensure accurate documentation of incident reports, and coordinate submissions for ad hoc surveys.
- Report relevant governance and regulatory matters to key risk stakeholders.
- Participate in system rollouts and other tasks such as materials review and due diligence work on AML as assigned, to ensure that compliance requirements are accurately interpreted and executed.
- University graduate, preferably in Accounting, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Operational Risk, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of solid experience in internal/external auditing, risk and control management, compliance, quality assurance, or consulting, preferably with SFC-licensed corporations &/or banks. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Associate role.
- Previous experience managing compliance and audit projects for startup businesses and/or new business segments is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
