The role works closely with key stakeholders including but not limited to distribution, marketing, product, operations (inclusive of functions such as underwriting, claims, data analytics etc.) to implement strategies that fulfil Prudential Hong Kong's (PHKL) performance objectives on Health.Job ResponsibilitiesHealth P&L Management
  • Monitor and manage P&L for PHKL’s health business and ensure prescribed financial targets are achieved.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, customer and distribution needs, competitive landscape and business opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization in the health business.
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to develop pricing strategies and business plans that maximize profitability.
Health Product Design and Marketing Strategy
  • Contribute to the design and development of PHKL's health product offerings that meet customer and market needs.
  • Develop marketing strategies and initiatives to drive the growth of the health business.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling customer offers and campaigns and accelerate strategic delivery in PHKL’s health business.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations by working with ERM, Compliance and Operation Governance teams.
Distribution Engagement and Support
  • Establish strong distribution relationships by engaging key partners and providing input on sales incentive strategies that facilitate health business growth.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance the confidence of distribution channels in selling medical products.
  • Collaborate with distribution teams to provide training and support on health products and sales techniques.
  • Provide guidance on market trends and insights to distribution partners to optimize their performance in the health business.
Customer Health Journey Design
  • Collaborate with the Health Journey Transformation role and contribute to the design and implementation of a seamless customer health journey across all touchpoints.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on customer feedback and market research to enhance the customer health journey.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in processes and services to ensure seamless experience for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the design of the customer health journey.
Job Requirements
  • Degree holder in healthcare administration, business administration or related fields. Master's degree preferred.
  • Accounting background and P&L management
  • Proven experience in business development capacity in the medical and health business and in executing business strategies in the health sector.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare industry, market trends, insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, including ability to collaborate via virtual and cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven mindset with focus on driving business growth.
  • Strong influencing skills, particularly with distribution partners to drive under stretched targets.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive and result driven.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English & Chinese.
